61st Grammy Award ११ फ़रवरी(भारतीय समयनुसार) को Staples Center, Los Angeles में हुए।इस समारोह को होस्ट गायिका और गीतकार Alicia keys ने किया। Grammy Award, The Recording Academy द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया जाता है, यह अवार्ड म्यूजिक इंडस्ट्री में प्राप्त की गयी उपलब्धियों के लिए दिया जाता है।
Grammy Awards ८४ केटेगरी के लिए दिए जाते हैं जो विभिन्न शैलियों पर आधारित होते हैं।निम्न चार केटेगरी किसी शैली पर आधारित नहीं है जो Grammy Award में दिए जाने वाले चार महत्वपूर्ण अवार्ड हैं।

इन अवार्ड के अलावा कई विभिन्न शैलियों में अवार्ड दिए गए। मिशेल ओबामा ने भी इस समारोह में उपस्थित दर्ज़ कराई , समारोह में स्पीच के दौरान उन्होंने कहा “music has always helped me tell my story”.
इस समारोह में कई गायकों और सेलिब्रिटीज जैसे Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Diana Ross, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Ricky Martin, Travis Scott, Meghan Trainor ने परफॉर्म किया।
